for the past 10 days, we’ve been suffering from a major slowdown in web connections throughout china. This is due to the earthquake that hit outside of Taiwan and tore apart most of the cables carrying the load of bandwith in Asia.
The situation is still pretty bad with most people unable to access anything outside of China other than the bigger websites. Communications are effectively shut down with Skype being useless, msn shaky and yahoo MIA.
Some of us with the technical know-how can get around this using some proxies but it is slow and painful. If you don’t hear from me much, there you have it. you know the reason.
