The whole Asia pacific region is suffering from the aftermath of the earthquake that hit Taiwan earlier this week and took out 6 major fiber-optic cables that convey 80 to 90% of communication traffic in the area.. In clear english, phone lines and internet are down and it’s gonna take about 3 weeks to get back to normal.
Some of the more technically gifted folks have managed to find a few ways around the problem but it’s pretty rough so far.
If I don’t answer emails or comment, please forgive the delay, it’s just that it takes too long to do anything at the moment.
