We arrived to HEFEI this past tuesday after a long train ride to Nanjing and 3 hours in a cab. I won’t lie and say it was an easy journey but I think it is preferable to the alternative which was 12 hours in a jam packed train on a “soft” seat. I’ll take 13 hours on a sleaper anyday.
The school is a private school, a franchise of SHANE ENGLISH. I could not find much first hand feedback on these guys but so far so good. We’ve been here for a week almost and the city is fairly cosmopolitain. I can find cheese, coffee, pizza….. the works. I have yet to locate a proper liqor store but it should not take too long.
It’s my first time teaching little kids and it is very freaking hard. If I ever entertainend the idea of having kids, it just went out the window. The little bastards scream, kick, shout and spit at each other… no!! it’s not funny…
