OK!!! It’s done!

I’ve gone ahead and activated my flickr account! All pictures will go on there from now on just to make my life easier (not to mention space/bandwith for the server :) )
So, if you want to see more pictures, just head over to my flickr page by clicking on the flickr badge to the right..

Mama i’m home

Monday, June 12th, 2006

After 5 days out in Xinjiang, I’m glad to be back home for a bit.

Xinjiang was absolutely fantastic and unlike anything i had imagined or pictured. Initially, I was thinking that this might be a trip into the desert and braced myself for another ’sahara-like’ experience. I was expecting a lot of sand and heat, camels, oasis and what not.
Instead, it was mountains, loads of green, horses, cows, goats, sheep, Mongols, Kazaks and authentic cheese… can you dig that?

I should get around to posting the pictures sometime soon and share them with you all. I gotta get my flicker account set up to save some bandwith first

Love it

Man.. I love the new look!
I think this one will stick for a while as i’m already adding a few mods and making it more attractive and complete.
The fluid sidebar concept is pretty much fantastic as it lets the page adjust to the width of the visitor’s screen without me having to worry about it. I’m guessing this will mark the official end of 800*600 designs for me as i enter the world of wider screens.

1 hour to go

Friday, June 9th, 2006

yes.. 1 hour to go ’till the official kick-off of the 30 days where most of the world comes to a halt and spends countless hours in front of a TV watching grown man chase a ball around a field for over an hour. I am no exception.
All ready to go here with a nice bottle of Changyu Cabernet, fresh kazhak(sp?) goat cheese from xinjiang and a few bags of chips in my nice, cozy and lonely hotel room… strange!
This is the second time i watch the opening game of a world cup alone… this goes against all the rules known to mankind as football (i refuse to call it soccer) is a social game in more than one way.
